EHESP-International recently took part in the International Conference on Quality in Healthcare, held in Kazakhstan on 17 and 18 September. This event brought together experts from across the region to discuss the central theme: ‘The patient at the centre of attention’.
Marie Kernec, Director of EHESP-International, took part in a round-table discussion on accreditation systems for healthcare hospitals, and spoke about the challenge of training hospital managers in terms of patient safety and quality of care, emphasising the importance of continuous training in improving the quality of care.
The conference provided a valuable opportunity to exchange views with healthcare professionals from the region. The visit also enabled the team to strengthen their links with the Kazakhstanese Ministry of Health and health institutions.
Our participation in this conference followed on from the workshop on the financing of healthcare systems that we led in June 2024, the aim of which was to support the development of Kazakhstan’s Health Insurance Fund.
