Marie Kernec, Director of EHESP-International, an expert in hospital management, and Dr Anne Le Gagne, professor at EHESP in charge of medical managers training, carried out a needs assessment visit in hospital management in Vietnam from 25 March to April 1st 2024.
This exploratory week was planned around meeting with the Ministry of Health, visits of various hospitals in Hanoi, Hué and Ho Chi Minh, meetings with public health training institutions and international partners involved in the health sector.
The visit helped to identify Vietnam’s specific challenges in terms of hospital management and review training programmes already in place. This visit will enable the experts to develop proposals to strengthen hospital management training in the longer term.
